Type7

Last week, Type7 representative Ted Gushue visited Japan and spent time tackling a variety of projects — including quite a bit of time with us at LOOPWHEELER. While we can’t reveal the details just yet, there’s an exciting plan currently in motion. If all goes well, we’re aiming for this fall or winter… hopefully!

We were also joined by Kenta Ogawara, founder of the TOKYO DRIVE CAR CLUB, for a meeting. Ted has just released Type7 vol.5 and is now planning to officially establish his company in Japan. He’s also expressed a strong desire to eventually open a bookstore in Tokyo, complete with a café.

Since many projects are progressing simultaneously, we gathered key collaborators for a dinner meeting. Loopwheeler, in particular, is exploring several new ideas with Kohei Takada — something we hope you’ll look forward to as well.

And somehow, the night ended with a lineup of air-cooled legends: the 930, 964, and 993. Admittedly, these hot summer nights are rough for air-cooled engines, but early mornings or late nights still let them stretch their legs. It was an evening that left me very excited for what 2026 may bring. @Satoshi Suzuki
