For many of you, this week likely marks the end of your work year. I imagine you’re busy wrapping up tasks and preparing for the holidays. As for me, my days are filled with year-end greetings and catching up with everyone I’ve been working with, making time fly by like a whirlwind.
Amid this hustle, I’m excited to share that the sample fabrics for next year’s Pre-Order event have arrived. First, we have new colors for the Wool TSURIAMI Pile, which uses 100% wool yarn from Toyoboshi, Japan’s premier cashmere spinning company. This fabric was incredibly popular this year.
We’ve tested off-white and beige. The off-white turned out exceptionally well, so I’m planning to feature it in next year’s Pre-Order lineup. In addition, I’m considering producing new colors like black and charcoal grey.
Featured in the LOOPWHEELER Complete Book, we also have an innovative 100% cashmere TSURIAMI Loopback fabric. This uses 100% cashmere yarn from the Italian luxury spinning company CARIAGGI—renowned for their Vicuña and cashmere—for both the outer and middle layers, combined with baby cashmere from Fukaki Woollen for the inner yarn. The fabric is technically intricate, featuring inner loops knit in varying lengths to form a random loop structure.
The standout feature is the cashmere yarn from CARIAGGI, which is smoothed to minimize surface fuzz, giving it an unexpectedly non-cashmere-like appearance. Meanwhile, the baby cashmere’s random loop texture on the inner side provides a uniquely pleasant and unexpected sensation against the skin.
This is one of the fabrics I’m most excited for you to experience firsthand. Additionally, there are many other new materials under development, and I’ll share more updates next year. I hope you’re looking forward to it!
