Mega LOOPWHEELER TSURIURAKE fabric, which was produced for the first time last year, is produced again this year.
It is an ultra-heavy weight, but it is made of a TSURIURAKE fabric that meets the dichotomous condition of LOOPWHEELER's typical softness.
I think it is the work of the persistence of President Minakata of Kanekichi Industries, and the factory manager M. Okaya, or perhaps I should say, the work of their souls.
The outer yarn is a single count 20 yarn (light gray melange) of GR4, the middle yarn is a right-twist raw silk 20 yarn, and the back yarn is a single count 8 yarn.
Another feature of this mega is that the loops are knitted in such a way that the loops lie down slightly, with the length of the loops randomly and unevenly while maintaining the density of the loops.
Compared to the standard LW Light & LW Basic, the length of the loops are different, with some longer and some shorter, which gives it a unique feel to the skin.
Sales will begin on Tuesday, September 24 for Sendagaya, Thursday, September 26 for Osaka, and Wednesday, September 25 for Fukuoka.
The color is stone gray, but the milling of the collar, sleeves, hem, and side gussets are knitted with two different colors of mokume-gray yarn, one course at a time, like a border, so I think the color is exquisite.
The sizes range from S to XL, and the retail price is 36,300 yen (tax included). I would wear size S because the pattern is not necessarily a relaxed fit, but it has a little bit of room. (I wear M size for LW01 and LW250).
Incidentally, the weight per garment is 570 g for LW01 and 780 g for Mega (both in size M). It weighs roughly 1.37 times as much as the original.
