The work jacket we made for the first time last year returns this year with a new print. The fabric is the familiar Parallel 4 — a four-strand TSURIAMI jersey. Four single-ply count 30 yarns are fed in parallel into the yarn feeder of the TSURIAMIKI and knitted together. We have made two-strand and three-strand versions over the years, but four strands raises the difficulty considerably. This fabric came to exist only by overcoming many challenges and building up the technical skill to meet them. It is a TSURIAMI jersey that I believe is only possible on a TSURIAMIKI — not something that could be achieved on a modern high-speed sinker machine.
The print features "loopwheeler" in cursive on the right chest and "LOOPWHEELER" across the back. It has a bit of a team feel to it, I think. A plain version without print is also available to order.
Here is what the plain version looks like.
The collar uses a fine-wale corduroy, and pockets are placed at various points throughout.
Aside from the print choice, deciding between Charcoal Grey and Black Navy is another difficult call...
The density of this fabric is remarkable, and it is far warmer than its thickness would suggest. Warmer is perhaps not quite the right word — it is more that it is very effective at blocking wind. Parallel 4 is truly something that exists nowhere else but LOOPWHEELER.
Four sizes from S to XL, priced at 69,000 yen (tax excluded) for both the printed and plain versions. I plan to order the printed one myself. I hope you will take your time deciding and place an order. Thank you, as always. @Satoshi Suzuki
