This is what we call the "Ura Cashmere TSURIAMI loopback." The face yarn and mid yarn are 100% cotton, while the reverse yarn—the part that touches the skin—is made from 100% cashmere. I believe we first began working with 100% cashmere yarn around 2003, back when we had our shop in Nakameguro. From the very beginning, we’ve been developing this Ura Cashmere TSURIAMI fabric through countless rounds of trial and error, and it feels like everything we’ve done has led us to this point.
We had paused production for a while, but this time we’ve used 100% cashmere yarn from Fukaki Keori for the reverse yarn, and the quality has improved dramatically. It’s not just the yarn—the craftsmanship at Kanekichi Industries has also continued to evolve. We talked more about it in a recent YouTube video, so we hope you’ll take a look.
This piece uses a new pattern and goes by the model number LW354. It has a slightly wider fit, and while the body length isn’t cropped, it’s on the shorter side in a balanced way. Personally, I’m a big fan of the silhouette.
It comes in just one color—Grey Melange—and is available in four sizes: S to XL. Retail price is ¥68,000 (excluding tax).
With 100% cashmere touching the skin, it naturally feels incredible. But what’s even more striking is how that cashmere subtly affects the surface—it gives it an ultra-smooth texture that feels like something beyond just cotton. We’ve quietly built up this fabric over many years, one step at a time. It would mean a lot to us if you had a chance to experience this version of 100% cashmere.
