Newly Developed Baby Alpaca TSURIAMI Jersey

This is a newly developed baby alpaca TSURIAMI jersey. Baby alpaca refers specifically to the finest and softest portion of alpaca fiber — those measuring 22.5 microns or less. Baby cashmere must come from the down of kids under six months old, but baby alpaca, provided it meets the above specification, may be selectively sourced from the full coat of alpacas of any age, including adults. As a material, it is smooth and light like cashmere, and is said to offer seven to eight times the insulation of wool — a luxury natural fiber in every sense. It is also more durable than cashmere, resistant to pilling, naturally rich in oils that repel dirt, and has good water resistance as well. It is very much the kind of nature-tech material that LOOPWHEELER is drawn to.The pattern is the LW369 long-sleeve tee-type sweatshirt, available in two colors — Grey Melange and Black — in four sizes from S to XL. The price is 60,000 yen (tax excluded). The two main reasons behind developing this baby alpaca TSURIAMI jersey were: first, the ongoing pursuit of nature-tech that I mentioned earlier and the desire to share it more widely; and second, the wish to create an entry point into fine fiber sweatshirts, which inevitably come at a higher price. The same LW369 pattern is also available in cashmere silk, priced at 100,000 yen (tax excluded). The price and the feel are different, but both are materials developed in pursuit of nature-tech. I hope you will try both on, experience what each has to offer, and choose whichever feels right for you. Thank you, as always. @Satoshi Suzuki
