To celebrate Steiff’s 145th anniversary, we’ve created a special LOOPWHEELER x Steiff collaboration bear. The first samples have arrived. Official release is scheduled for Thursday, December 4th, but per Steiff Japan’s request, per-orders will begin earlier. At LOOPWHEELER Sendagaya, Osaka, and Fukuoka, pre-orders will be accepted from Thursday, October 30th through December 3rd. Steiff Japan will also host pre-orders at upcoming events: Osaka Abeno Harukas (Oct 29–Nov 3), Shinjuku Isetan (Nov 12–18), and Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi (Nov 26–Dec 2).
Although Steiff’s strict logo usage rules posed some challenges, we’re pleased with how it turned out.
The bear’s name is “Classic Teddy Bear,” featuring the main logo type.
The zip hoodie uses the same LW Light 30/9 TSURIAMI loopback fabric as our human-sized pieces, paired with a white T-shirt made from LW 30/2 mid-weight TSURIAMI jersey. The Steiff official logo is printed on the chest in black ink. Production was handled by doll artist Ms. Onishi, whose sewing craftsmanship once again shines through. The outfit is finished with denim pants and white sneakers.
The left chest features the LOOPWHEELER cursive logo printed in white ink.
The back combines the LOOPWHEELER cursive logo with the Classic Teddy Bear script and the Steiff official logo, all printed in black ink.
The second version wears an all-black outfit — black zip hoodie, black tee, and black sweatpants — complete with black sneakers.
On the black hoodie, the Classic Teddy Bear logo is printed in gray ink, and the Steiff logo in white.
The left-chest logo is printed in gray, while the T-shirt features the official Steiff logo in white ink.
The sweatpants also feature the official logo in white print, completing the coordinated look.
Samples are available for viewing at our Sendagaya and Osaka stores (apologies to our Fukuoka customers — stock is limited). Each 25 cm Classic Teddy Bear, in either Gray or Black, is priced at ¥110,000 (tax included). It’s certainly a premium piece, and perhaps the last of its kind — we’d be honored if you would welcome one home. Another larger 75 cm version will be announced soon. Please stop by when you have a chance.
